Modisprem is deeply committed to the decarbonization strategy of the automotive sector. Therefore, we have set a target for 2030, in which Modisprem aims to reduce the carbon footprint of its scopes 1 and 2 by 30% compared to 2020. This objective is intended to be achieved through:
– Improving energy efficiency in our production processes and facilities.
– Encouraging the consumption of energy from renewable sources, PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements).
– Generation and self-consumption of energy from renewable energy sources.
– Sharing our decarbonization commitments with stakeholders in the supply chain, customers, and relevant environmental authorities.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXT | Circular Economy
The finite nature of natural resources and the social and environmental consequences of raw materials make the development of a circular economy a key sustainability issue. Modisprem is already committed to and promotes a circular economy model through:
– Optimization in the transformation process of raw materials.
– Increased use of recyclable and reusable materials.
– Promotion and use of returnable and reusable packaging. Adherence to the SCRAP initiative by “Implica”.
– Reduction of waste generation. “The best waste is the one that is not generated”.
– Encouraging the valorization of our waste and not its disposal in landfills.
